Grace

Strength of will to carry through
Confidence to walk the right walk
To keep faith in things unseen
Manifest love in difficult circumstances
When trust cries out for an embrace.
The passions of youth trample about
Thoughtless hunger drives the thirst
Yet the unseen mercy hovers
And protects and jealously guards,
Another one preserved for life
Separated for the heavenly kingdom.
Long before enlightenment
And the gift of second birth,
Kindness and gentleness endured
Angels sent to prevail
The invisible war rages on
Casualties at every side as proof
Hearts and bodies broken
Terrible suffering beyond even reason.
Yet this one and that one
Here and far away
Chosen and kept by Heaven's power
Lives preserved for choice and purpose
Foreknowledge fulfilled by merciful predestination.
The Lord, his Plan, his way!

Imagination

Rest at last
The mind of Messiah indwells
All the conflicted thoughts calmed
Every vain imagination stilled
Any surprise rush of the impure, the unclean
Is covered by a clean white veil of discernment
Memories from the darkened past
Emboldened, exaggerated beyond
Passions stirred, passions enflamed;
Then a gentle voice whispers peace
Reminds of what is true and pure
Power unfold a robe of trust and rest
The position of confidence, sealed above this world
Enthroned alongside the Mighty One
Lord of all, Light of eternity;
And there is more peace and self control
A mind renewed, prayerful soul
To walk in lasting integrity
Visions of heavenly beauty
Of the final steps in our path
Angels on every side rejoice
Sufficient power is kept for you
Assurance clothes us each freshly
The armor of light we wear
Mind protected, thoughts strengthened
Waste filtered out quickly;
Another drink from the crystal spring of Heaven
Cool, clean liquid for a truly thirsty soul.
